About Me
I am an independent Search marketing consultant based in Paris, France. I was born in Spain and educated in the UK at Masters (MSc) level, where I lived for 10 years.
I have been creating websites since 1998, although I began to focus deeply into search engine strategies and internet marketing around 2003.
I have carried out online marketing strategic consultancy for small and medium enterprises, including my current employer: the British Council.
My first serious web project
My first serious job interacting with online project work was back in 1998 after graduating from my first degree (BSc) and began working for the UK's cultural relations organisation. I had been studying some HTML and CSS so I was asked to manage the technical development of a large scale Intranet platform called 'Welcome to the UK'. The job itself was challenging but very exciting: information architecture and usability, web data modelling, functionality-based javascript, website mapping and information flow management.
By the time the project was completed, I was hooked! I knew I wanted to develop websites and learn as much as possible about how to make the best of a website by focusing on user experience, customer needs and journeys and goals-driven development.
Moved to France
Five years of project management experience later, I found myself managing the online presence for the same organisation in France, where I am now able to report on a track record of online success for the organisation through the implementation of successful search engine strategies.
The France website has become one of the most successful website in the entiere network, not only because of KPIs (key performance indicators) reporting that traffic levels are amongst the highest, but also that the traffic is qualified, web analytics reports are detailed and aim to aid decision-making and the website responds to your user needs as recent surveys suggest.

Those 10 years of professional experience in web project management have provided me with a varied range of skills ranging from technical, marketing and project management.
I have however decided to start up my own consultancy to help small and medium sized businesses develop their online presence via search engine marketing strategies.

I am available for contractual work throughout Europe. Although I live in Paris, I can be available for Freelance work practically everywhere in Europe so long as you are able to provide me with at least two weeks notice before requesting any work.
